Mount Qingcheng, meaning "Green Town" in Chinese, is noted for its ancient trees. Located in the Dujiangyan scenic spot of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, Mount Qingcheng is one of the four famous Taoist mountains. Surrounded by countless peaks and densely covered with ancient trees, branches reaching the sky, Mount Qingcheng is called the quietest place under heaven. That may be the reason that Taoists in ancient times chose Mount Qingcheng to cultivate their spirits. Mount Qingcheng is divided into two parts, a front and arrear area. The former is noted for its beautiful scenery and numerous cultural and historic sites: the latter, for its mysterious views.
