Distribution: southeastern China

White-necked Long tailed Pheasants are 81cm long and they dwell in the dense bushes and bamboo of mixed forests. They are easily alerted and move in small groups. They often perch on trees and feed on plants and insects. The males become ferocious and likely to fight each other during the April-June mating season.
They receive first grade national protection.
