White Stork

Distribution: northern China, Northeast Asia and Japan, migrates to the Waters South of the Yangtze River in winter.





The white Stork is 105cm long. It roams broad fields, ponds, marshland, shallow water and sands, and prairies in small groups or alone. It often perches on thick tree trunks to take a rest and lets out a clattering sound. The White Stork catches fish, frogs, insects, small reptiles and rodents.



They receive first grade national protection.
