
The body length of the Clouded Leopard is 61-106cm, with 55-91cm tail; the weight ranges from 16 to 32kg. They dwell in the trees of tropical and subtropical forests. Being solitary and nocturnal animals, they have sharp hearing, good eyesight and a strong sense of smell and they excel in climbing and leaping. They live by catching birds, monkeys, boars, deer, goats and rabbits. The normal lifespan is 15-17 years.
They are listed as second grade nationally protected animals.
