Distribution: southern China and southern Tibet, Middle Asia to Southeast Asia. The body length of the Dhole is 88-113cm, with a 40-50crn tail; they weigh 10-21kg. They dwell in caves of hilly areas, dense forests, and mountainous areas. They are gregarious animals and feed on other mammals. They also eat insects and rotten flesh. The lifespan is 15-16 years. They receive second grade national protection.
