
The body length m the Binturong is 61-96cm, with a 56-89cm tail: weight varies from 9 to 14kg. They dwell in the trees of dense forests. They are nocturnal animals and move alone or in small groups. They are able to dive, swim and catch fish. The normal lifespan is 22 years.
The Binturongs are listed as first grade nationally protected animals in China.
