Distribution: southern areas of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, northern Vietnam, western and central areas of Laos.
The body length of Francois' Monkey is 50-60cm, with a tail 79～86cm long. They live in tropical and sub-tropical forests and sometimes they also dwell in hilly areas. Under the leadership of a male monkey, they search for food, including leaves, buds, fruits, insects and small animals, among trees in small groups, They sleep on trees or in caves. The normal lifespan is about 12 years.
They are listed as first grade nationally protected animals.
