Distribution: originally in the northeastern areas of China's Xinjiang uygur autonomous Region to Inner Mongolia and Mongolia.
The body length of the Wild Horse is 220-280cm, with a 92-110cm tail: weight averages 350kg. They live m deserts, prairie, hilly areas, Gobi land and wet grasslands in small groups. Being good runners, they also like bathing in the sand and swimming. Grass and wild vegetables are their main food. The normal lifespan ranges from 25-35 years.
They are listed as first grade nationally protected animals.
