The body length of the Chinese Pangolin is about 100cm. They live in wet forest areas in hills or plains. They are nocturnal animals and live alone or in pairs. They are able to climb trees and swim. The Chinese Pangolin often twists its body into the shape of a ball when encountering enemies. Being good diggers, they live in holes. Babies are carried on the mother's back when walking. The normal lifespan is about 10 years.
